We are preparing for a busy spring. The nursery is stocked with trees and shrubs. Perennials are filling, and overflowing the benches. The greenhouses are stuffed with gorgeous Hanging Baskets. Beauty abounds at this time of year. Scott's has a sea of pretty plants looking for good homes.

april, may, and june...
We work hard to provide the best plants for our customers. Some items have been ordered a year in advance. Supplies, like soil, fertilizers and sprays are in stock and ample product information is provided. Lime for lawns... Holly Tone® for evergreens... Deer solution to repel those hungry pests... Just about everything necessary to help your garden grow.
In our growing operation, hanging baskets are sizing up. Annuals with similar growing requirements are potted together to ensure compatible cultural treatment. Great consideration is given to artfully blending foliage and bloom to create breath-taking combinations. We've earned bragging rights... these baskets are incredible!
The greenhouses are filled with remarkable annuals called
Proven Winners®.
They arrive as tiny plugs in early March, and are potted and pampered until they are ready to greet the public. Proven Winners® are bred for maximum garden performance... For example: Petunias that don't need picking, wild and crazy Coleus, Silver Frosts and Blue Fans that take a licking and keep on ticking!
Our retail greenhouse features large tropical plants. They fill large containers nicely and make a lovely statement on entryways or decks. Hard to find bloomers, like Orchids and Calla Lilies mingle with Gerbera Daisies and Miniature Roses. It's a colorful scene. Herbs and vegetable plants are in abundance through June. We stock unusual items like Mole Plants, Mosquito Geraniums, Heirloom Tomatoes and we do our best to fill special requests.
July and August...
Colorful summer pots are available now. Instant flower power fills garden voids, or spruces up doorsteps and tabletops... Perfect to add finishing touches for parties! Before we know it, the Mums are bursting into bloom and ready to be put out.
